StumbleUpon is a discovery engine where you can submit your blog to reach millions of people. It is a form of search engine as well as social networking. Many bloggers are using StumbleUpon to generate high traffic. And truly it is one of the greatest sources of web traffic.
But if your blog or website containing Google AdSense, then you should think again before submitting your blog or website to StumbleUpon.
Many StumbleUpon users have received auto-surf worming from Google AdSense team- although this is not auto-surf .
This probably for three reasons-
StumbleUpon is not a auto-surf site and I think also Google don't have any problem with StumbleUpon. But you have to prevent invalid clicks to save your AdSense account.But if your blog or website containing Google AdSense, then you should think again before submitting your blog or website to StumbleUpon.

- Here you will suddenly receive lot of traffic. That means your Page RPM will also rise suddenly.
- Here will also be a huge chance of invalid clicks. And Google heats invalid clicks.
- AdSense is a contextual advertising system which shows most relevant ads for web contents. So, Google wants every click on AdSense for a genuine interest. That is why Google believes only on organic traffics. But if you receive most of traffics from social networks then it may be violet AdSense smart pricing policy.
So, in my point of view, new AdSense publishers should avoid StumbleUpon until they've received a decent amount of traffic.
I recently signed up to stumbleupon, but now I doubt in my decision.

Actually StumbleUpon is not problematic for AdSense. But why take chances.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't surprise me that people might get their Adsense accounts suspended or banned from using this site. Many people have had their accounts suspended and they don't know why.
ReplyDeleteActually I think there are much better ways of making money from a blog such as promoting affiliate programs and offering your own products and services. People should pursue those instead in my opinion.

DeleteYour thought is right. But AdSense is the best advertising system in the world today. And this is also true that here is some barrier with AdSense, that you can't promote your website by all system.
Now if you work independently then this is better to use other program like affiliate programs.
